ARTIFACT: This is an early World War II patch for the United States Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, or WAACS. The patch shows an eagle at center, later referred to as "the buzzard", and reads UNITED STATES WAACS. The WAAC was the precursor of the Women's Army Corps (WAC).

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: 2-3/4" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brown felt patch embroidered with multi-colored cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: N/A.

MARKINGS: N/A.
