ARTIFACT: This is an early World War II shoulder tab for the United States Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, the precursor of the Women's Army Corps (WAC). The tab was meant for wear beneath the chevrons, and reads WAAC In moss green against an old-gold background.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3/4" in height and 2-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto uniform.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: The tab you will receive will either be the one pictured or one that is extremely similar. This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. 4@VAJX05 LFJX5/11 S(1)EJX02/12

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The tab shows only light wear and very slight soiling.
