ARTIFACT: This is a circa early World War II Nazi Russian Front medal. The medal is in heavy silver-plated white metal and has an undecipherable mark on the suspension ring. The design is of an eagle grasping a swastika with a stahlhelm (steel helmet) above. On reverse the medal reads WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN (Winter Battle in the East) 1941/42.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/2" in height and 1-3/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver-plated white metal, silk.

ATTACHMENT: Suspension loop.

MARKINGS: Undecipherable mark on ring.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Nazi Germany medal collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEEX13 LHEX9/13 SHEX4/17

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The medal has some light to medium wear and tarnish.
