ARTIFACT: This is a World War II man-in-service lapel pin from Douglas Aircraft Company, which manufactured aircraft in California from 1921 until 1967, when it became McDonnell Douglas. The single star bar on the pin is topped by Douglas' "Around the World" logo: a globe with three aircraft circling it.
VINTAGE: Circa World War II.
SIZE: Approximately 5/8 in height and 3/8 in width.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: enamel.
ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.
MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin has some small areas of light wear and tarnish.
