ARTIFACT: This is a circa early World War II Douglas Aircraft War Production Drive Committee (WPDC) lapel wing pin. Douglas Aircraft Company was a California-based outfit that began in 1921 and merged with McConnell to become McConnell-Douglas in 1967. The pin is in gold fill on silver.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 9/16” in height and 1-1/2” in width.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Gold-filled on sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: GF SS.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an aviation company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAHX13 LHEX1/13

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows only light wear and tarnish.
