ARTIFACT:

This is a circa early World War II shoulder patch for the United States Marine Corps 1st Marine Division. The patch is Australian-made, and is embroidered on cotton material. It is diamond-shaped and shows five stars and a number 1 that bears the word GUADALCANAL.

VINTAGE:

Circa early WWII.

SIZE:

Approximately " in height and 8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton embroidered in cotton/silk threads, cloth backing.
