ARTIFACT: This is a circa early World War II shoulder patch for the United States Marine Corps 1st Marine Division. The patch is Australian-made done in a Bevo weave on cotton/silk. The patch is diamond-shaped and features five stars surrounding a red number 1 that reads: "GUADALCANAL" in white detail.

VINTAGE: Circa early WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/2" x 2-7/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered cotton/silk, silk thread, cotton backing

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The patch shows light to moderate wear and soiling, was removed from uniform, overall excellent condition.
