This is an early "skull" type United States Army Special Forces DI by Meyer. The DI reads DE OPPRESSO LIBER (To liberate the oppressed) and shows two arrows in an X formation across a sword. In the background are two formations that resemble the top half of human skulls.
VINTAGE:Circa 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 1-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with clutch-back catches.
MARKINGS:Meyer maker's mark and 22 M in a shield.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI shows some light wear and tarnish.
