ARTIFACT: This is a 1920s New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles special inspector badge. The badge reads SPECIAL INSPECTOR DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES NEW JERSEY P262 and shows the State of New Jersey seal at center.

VINTAGE: Circa 1920s.

SIZE: 1-7/8" height and 1-1/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with blue painted letters.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in catch.

MARKINGS: NORTON FARR S. CUMMINGS TRENTON, N.J.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a state agency collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Ebay RDAL91 LCGEX 4/10

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): Badge has some small spots where paint is worn away but is otherwise in fine shape.
