This is a 1920s New Jersey Department of Motor Vehicles special inspector badge. The badge reads SPECIAL INSPECTOR DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES NEW JERSEY P262 and shows the State of New Jersey seal at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:1-7/8" height and 1-1/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass with blue painted letters.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in catch.
