Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an early Asheville, North Carolina policeman badge. The badge shows the seal of the State of North Carolina at center with an eagle at top and reads POLICE CITY OF ASHEVILLE 23.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1910s-1920s.

SIZE:

2-5/16" height and 1-1/2" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS:

C. D. REESE 57 WARREN ST. NEW YORK.
