This is an early 20th century Malden, Massachusetts License Committee badge. The badge shows the coat of arms of Malden topped by an eagle and reads LICENSE COMMITTEE MALDEN and MALDEN SETTLED 1634 TOWN 1643 CITY 1882.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900-1919.
SIZE:About 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with forked catch.
MARKINGS:S.M. SPENCER MFG. CO. BOSTON.
