Description
This is a circa early 1970s jacket patch for the United States Air Force 80th Tactical Fighter Squadron, also known as "Headhunters". The 80th was based first out of Yokota AFB, Japan and later Kunsan AFB, South Korea in the early 1970s. The patch is Korean-made in a smaller size. It is embroidered upon pale yellow cotton and shows the head of a native with a big blade and a bloody "80" beneath.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 3-1/2" in height and 2-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, mesh backing.
