Description
This is a circa early 1970s sign for the Market Square Pub in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The sign is painted masonite in a wooden frame, and shows a painted pineapple, the international symbol of welcome. The sign drew in patrons at about the time when Portsmouth was on the threshold of entering its renaissance stage.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 21-1/4" in height by 18" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted wood and masonite.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The sign has some small areas of minor discoloration and several scattered scuffs and spots where the paint has come away.
