This is an early 1960's West Virginia forest fire warden badge. The badge reads WEST VIRGINIA FOREST FIRE WARDEN DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES and shows a maple leaf and the State of West Virginia seal at center.
VINTAGE:Circa Early 1960's.
SIZE:1-15/16" height and 1-1/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking catch.
MARKINGS:BASTIAN BROS. ROCHESTER, N.Y. I.J.W.U NO. 9 UNION MADE and one other union stamp.
