ARTIFACT:

This is a large, Japanese-made United States Navy jacket patch for the FBM (Fleet Ballistic Missile) Refit Site One in Holy Loch, Scotland. This patch is from the site's early years, which existed from 1961 to 199The patch is colorfully embroidered and reads CLYDE MASTERS, a nickname derived from the site's proximity to the Firth of Clyde.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 5-3/4" in height and 5-7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, muslin backing.
