This is a circa early 1950s United States Military Air Transport Service (MATS) shoulder patch. MATS was a post-World War II (1948) conglomeration of the transport branches for the United States Air Force (ATC) and Navy (NATS). It was dissolved in 196The patch is a tilted blue globe with a winged bunch of three golden arrows at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester thread, mesh backing.
