Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa early 1950s badge for the Indochina 6th TDPB (Tieu Doan 6 Phao Binh) Artillery Group/6° TDPB, Groupe Vietnamien d' Artillerie‏. This badge would have been worn by Vietnamese soldiers under French command during the French IndoChina War. The badge is French-made by Arthus Bertrand. The design is a nicely enameled blue and red crest with a three-dimensional golden junk at the center.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1950s.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-7/16" in height and 1-1/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS:

ARTHUS BERTRAND 46 R. DE RENNES PARIS.

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): The badge shows very little wear and some slight discoloration to the reverse only; all enamel intact.
