This is a circa early 1950s Broome County, New York Civil Defense (or air raid) warden badge. This imposing badge is shield-shaped and on the larger side, and is numbered 21Broome County is in central southern New York and borders on Pennsylvania.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/8" in height and 2-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin on bar with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:216 on front.
