ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1930s fireman's dress visor hat from the Plymouth, Massachusetts Fire Department. The hat is a size 7-3/8. It bears a department badge and has a Wentworth Forman Co. Inc. of Boston maker's mark in the lining of the hat.

VINTAGE: Circa early 1930s.

SIZE: Size tag: 7-3/8.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool, leather, cotton, chromed brass, celluloid in liner.

ATTACHMENT: Chin strap; single screw post with disc backing on badge.

MARKINGS: 7 3/8; Manufactured by Wentworth Forman Co. Inc. 578 Washington Street Boston, Mass. Uniform Headwear Pat. Jan 7th 1913 No. 1,049,938 Indigo Dye 7 3/8.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The hat has some small scattered moth bites and some minor surface splitting to the visor.
