This is an early 1900s Special Deputy US Marshal six point star, which reads SPECIAL DEPUTY U. S. MARSHAL.

Circa early 1900s.

2-7/16" height and 2-1/8" width.

Nickel-plated brass with black paint.

Vertical safety pin.
