This is a Disney-designed patch for the United States Army Air Forces 398th Bomber Squadron, 21st Bomber Group, 3rd Air Force. The patch was only used for about eighteen months, and shows Donald Duck in an aviator suit holding a bomb.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:5-3/16" diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Off-white silk-screened canvas patch with khaki piping.
MARKINGS:398th handwritten on reverse.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBAJX08 LHIEX4/10 SGEJX3/14
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): Patch is in wonderful shape and shows light wear on reverse only.
