ARTIFACT: This is a cool World War II fighting knife that is made from a World War II Re-issue 03 Springfield bayonet, dated 1909. The bayonet was cut down and nicely pointed to fit into a Spanish-American War era Krag bayonet scabbard. The scabbard has a belt loop which has two stops on the hinge to stop it from swinging too far out of place.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Size: 17-1/4" x 3-1/2" x 2-1/8

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Steel, Iron

ATTACHMENT: Belt loop on the scabbard

MARKINGS: "S A 1909. US 366705"

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Weapons collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDEX17 LAGEX5/17 PSAHEX5/17

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The knife is in good condition. The scabbard and the hilt has seen some wear

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
