ARTIFACT: Cool 1940’s – 50’s vintage Veuve Clicquot Champagne advertising pin/tip/ash tray by Limoges, France. The center of the tray reads: “V. CLICQUOT. P. WERLE” and shows a shooting star. The surrounding edge reads: “CHAMPAGNE VEUVE CLICQUOT PONSARDIN REIMS” and some of the gold edging detail remains. The reverse shows a nice maker’s mark and reads: “B & Co. LIMOGES FRANCE”, “J. BERNARDAUD & Co. LIMOGES MADE IN FRANCE”.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940’s – 50’s

SIZE: Approximately 4-7/8” (in diameter) x 1” tall

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Ceramic, paint

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: “B & Co. LIMOGES FRANCE”, “J. BERNARDAUD & Co. LIMOGES MADE IN FRANCE”.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The tray shows moderate to heavy wear, mostly around edges, the colors remain intact and overall very fine condition.
