Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a pair of either United States Army cavalry or possibly Confederate spurs by Oakes. The spurs are in a simple, unadorned style and have a mellowed coloring.

VINTAGE:

Circa Civil War.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-7/8" length and 2-3/4" width and 1-1/4" depth (each).

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Four rectangular openings on each spur.

MARKINGS:

OAKES.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAJJX05 LCEJX8/10 SCEJX12/13

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): Spurs show moderate wear and tarnish with some small spots of oxidation.
