Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a United States made farrier's knife dating to the Civil War. The knife is all in one curved line, and the tip of the blade is also curved back in a lip that aided in dealing with stubborn horseshoes.

VINTAGE:

Circa Civil War.

SIZE:

8-1/4" length and 7/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Steel and stag handle (deer antler).

MARKINGS:

KELLER BROS. CO.
