ARTIFACT: This is a 1950s survival knife for a United States Air Force jet pilot by Camillus Cutlery Company. Camillus of New York, one of the oldest manufacturers of knives in the United States, operated from 1876 until folding in 2007, and was relaunched in 2009. The knife has a leather sheath with a small snap pocket.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 10-1/4" in length and 2-5/8" in width at widest part (sheathed).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Steel, wood, leather, brass.

ATTACHMENT: Snap on strap, snap on pocket, two punched holes and two slots on reverse of sheath.

MARKINGS: CAMILLUS N.Y.

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The knife shows some light to medium wear and a moderate tarnish; the sheath has all over moderate wear with a slight cut near its tip.
