This is a circa World War I cap badge made in England for the 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles. The 1st Mounted Rifles were organized in 1915 and hailed from Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The badge shows a wild boar at center and is decorated with maple leaves and topped with a crown.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:1-3/4" height and 2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops and a cotter pin.
MARKINGS:N. P. TAFT (?) B'HAM.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): Badge has one spot of discoloration and light tarnish.
