ARTIFACT: This is a circa late 1970s jacket patch for the United States Air Force 917th Air Refueling Squadron (917thth AREFS). The 917th was stationed at Dyess AFB, Texas. The embroidered patch reads "Ante Optimas" (Before the best).

VINTAGE: Circa late 1970s.

SIZE: Approximately 4-1/8" in height and 3-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Twill embroidered cotton/silk/polyester threads, treated backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Air Force air refueling squadron jacket patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEX13 LAGX10/13

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The patch has some areas of moderate wear; some paper residue on reverse only.
