This is a circa 1970 jacket patch for the United States Air Force 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, also known as the "Wolfhounds". The 32nd was part of the United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE), and was stationed at Soesterberg Air Force Base, making this group the sole squadron to be commanded by a foreign power (the Royal Netherlands Air Force). They flew F-4 Phantom IIs. This patch shows a bloodthirsty wolfhound beneath a crown.
Approximately 3-7/8" in height and 2-1/4" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Cotton embroidered in cotton/polyester/silk threads, Velcro backing.
This is from a United States Air Force collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VBJX13 LHEX2/13
