ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1970 Japanese-made jacket patch for the United States Air Force 69th Bomb Squadron. The patch is from the Vietnam era, as the 69th was deployed several times to both Andersen AFB on Guam and to U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield between 1965 and 1972. When stateside, the squadron was based at Limestone (and later Loring) AFB in Maine. The patch is fully embroidered and shows a black eagle riding a yellow bomb.

Circa 1970.
SIZE:
Approximately 4" in height and 4-3/4" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, cloth backing.
