Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1960 jacket patch for the United States Navy Antarctidevron 6 (Antarctic Air Development Squadron 6). The patch is from the era of the squadron's support of "Operation Deep Freeze". It is embroidered upon white twill and shows a penguin with some health issues standing over the words "PUCKERED PENGUINS".

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960.

SIZE:

Approximately 3-15/16" in height and 3-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Twill embroidered in cotton/polyester thread, mesh backing.

None.

None.
