Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1960s United States Air Force 18th Communications Squadron jacket patch. The 18th was stationed at Westover AFB, Massachusetts. The patch is fully embroidered with a turquoise background and shows a communications tower staked out inside the central link between two halves of the globe. The motto "Catena Terras Connectens" (A Chain Linking the Lands) is on a banner at the bottom.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-3/8" in height and 4-1/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in cotton/polyester threads.
