ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1960 deputy sheriff badge from Jefferson County, Missouri. The badge is named to H.W. HURD on a banner in an eagle's beak near its top and shows the State seal at its center.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1960.
SIZE:
Approximately 3-1/4" in height x 2-3/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Chrome-plated brass with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical pin on bar with drop-in locking catch.
MARKINGS:
PAT. number.
