Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Korean War-era Philippines-made jacket patch made for the United States Naval CVW-2 (Carrier Air Wing 2) Detachment Alpha. The patch shows two winged thunderbolt missiles set against a night sky.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1953.

SIZE:

3-1/4" diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered patch with multi-colored cotton.

MARKINGS:

Hard to make out handwritten words on reverse.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a United States Naval patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEJX06 SAGEX9/15

CONDITION:

8+ (Excellent): Patch shows very little wear and has retained its vibrant original coloring.
