ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1953-1954 beer mug for the United States Air Force 81st Fighter Bomber Squadron. The 81st was then stationed at Hahn Air Base in Germany and flew F-86 Sabre jets. One side of the mug shows a jet and the other side shows a leopard jumping out of thundercloud and reads SAXTON beneath.

VINTAGE: Circa Korean War.

SIZE: Approximately 4-15/16" in height and 4-7/8" in width (including handle) and 3-13/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted ceramic.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: 0.5l (liter) on side and some faded writing in marker on bottom.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Air Force collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VCEX11 LAHEX10/11 SAHEX7/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The mug has no stains or cracks and shows some minor wear to the painted lettering.
