ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1950s lapel pin for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The association formed in 1939 in Frederick, Maryland and is still in existence. This pin would have been worn by a senior member of AOPA.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 1/4" in height and 9/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a civil aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. R/AJL94 LBIX7/12
