ARTIFACT: This is a high quality circa 1940 lapel pin for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The association formed in 1939 in Frederick, Maryland and is still in existence.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940.

SIZE: Approximately 3/16" in height and 13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a civil aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAV92 LEEX7/12 SEEX1/16

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The pin shows only very light wear.
