This is a high quality circa 1940 lapel pin for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The association formed in 1939 in Frederick, Maryland and is still in existence.

Circa 1940.

Approximately 3/16" in height and 13/16" in width.

Gilt brass, enamel.
