This is a well preserved example of a circa 1950 jacket patch for the USN Patrol Squadron 24 (VP-24). The squadron was originally nicknamed "Batmen" and the patch shows a likeness of their favorite wingedmascot.

SIZE:About 5" width; 7" in height
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Embroidery on wool felt.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.
