ARTIFACT: This is a well preserved example of a circa 1950 jacket patch for the USN Patrol Squadron 24 (VP-24). The squadron was originally nicknamed "Batmen" and the patch shows a likeness of their favorite wingedmascot.

VINTAGE: Circa 1950.

SIZE: About 5" width; 7" in height

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidery on wool felt.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a large collection of WW II to Vietnam vintage US Naval Aviation patches from which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJJX05 SDJJX9/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine - Excellent): Slight soiling from wear and minor yellowing.
