Circa 1950 California Central Airlines (CCA) Captain Wing in Sterling by Balfour

This is a circa 1950 captain wing in sterling silver by Balfour for California Central Airlines (CCA). The wing is an early one for CCA, as the company was founded in 1947 but did not start flying until 194The carrier went out of business in 195The wing has a shield at center bearing the letters CCA, and was obviously styled upon the Civil Air Transport Command wings of World War II.

Circa 1950.

Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 3-9/16" in width.

Sterling silver.

Three posts with clutch backs.
