Description
This is a rare circa mid- to late 1950s captain wing 2nd issue for Allegheny Airlines. Previously known as All American Airways, Allegheny operated out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from 1952 until 1979, when it changed its name to US Air. The wing is in sterling silver by Balfour. It shows three "A"s at its center and is topped by a star.
VINTAGE:Circa mid-late 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" in height and 2-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Two posts with clutchbacks.
MARKINGS:LGB (Balfour mark) STERLING.
