ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1940 (early World War II) United States Army 5th Infantry Regiment ring made in Panama. Also known as the "Bobcats", the 5th left Fort Williams in Maine for Panama's Camp Paraiso, based there from before the US joined the war in 1939 until 1943. The unit was attached to the 71st Infantry Division. The ring is in sterling silver and shows the 5th's insignia on the face. It stands about 11/16" tall and is roughly a size 10-1/2.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940 (early World War II).

SIZE: Approximate size 10-1/2; approximately 11/16" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, enameled details.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: STERLING.
