ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1930s or 1940s employee lapel pin for ten years of service with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), an entity created during the Civil War. The pin shows an old-fashioned plow and sheaves of wheat on the front with enameled details.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s-1940s.

SIZE: Approximately 5/8" in height and 7/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing, stabilization tooth.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Department of Agriculture collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAX14 LCDX6/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin has only light tarnish.
