Description
This is a circa 1910s member badge for the Touring Club of France (TCF). The TCF was primarily a bicycling association, but essentially became a pioneer bureau of tourism through its promotion of everything from maps to camping to road signage. The club was around from 1890 until 198The badge is a nice spoked wheel with the letters TCF in blue, white and red enamel.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass; enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin.
