ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1910s member badge for the Touring Club of France (TCF). The TCF was primarily a bicycling association, but essentially became a pioneer bureau of tourism through its promotion of everything from maps to camping to road signage. The club was around from 1890 until 1983. The badge is a nice spoked wheel with the letters TCF in blue, white and red enamel.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass; enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a large collection of travel items that we will be listing over the next few months. ebay VEX93 LEHX8/12

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows only light wear and tarnish; all enamel is intact.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
