Circa 1900 Wellington, Kansas Police Badge with H.C. Liepsner & Co. Maker Mark

This is a circa 1900 Wellington, Kansas police badge. Wellington is the Seat of Sumner County, not too far north of the Oklahoma border, about mid-state. This badge probably dates from the beginnings of the 20th century. It is nicely hallmarked by the H. C. Liepsner & Company of Kansas City, Missouri. The badge is numbered 7

Circa 1900.

Approximately 2-5/8" in height and 2-1/4" in width.

Nickel-plated brass.

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
