This is a circa 1910s or 1920s police badge from Lawrence, Kansas, the county seat of Douglas County. The badge is shield-shaped and has a decorative engraved detail at its center. The saddle on reverse has a maker mark for H.C. Liepsner & Company of Kansas City, Missouri.
VINTAGE:Circa 1910s-1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/8" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin, saddle.
