Description
This is a pin for the Nubble Light, which sits on an island called the Nubble in Cape Neddick (part of York), Maine. The lighthouse was completed in 1879 and is accessed either by boat or by the ferrying bucket. Interestingly, a picture of the Maine landmark was carried, along with other items, on Voyager II just in case a chance arose to teach other life forms about our earthly existence. The pin is circular and shows the lighthouse with the watchkeeper's house bordered in a robin's-egg blue.
