This is a circa 1900 Monsanto, Illinois Police badge number 16, possibly first issue.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:About 2" in width by 2-1/4" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel with black painted detail.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin with a "C" catch.
MARKINGS:None.
