This is a circa 1900 Bergen County, New Jersey sheriff's special deputy badge numbered 24 by Braxmar. The badge resembles a sunburst and shows the seal of the State of New Jersey at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:2-3/8" in height by 2-5/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with a "C" type catch.
MARKINGS:C.G. BRAXMAR CO. 242 WEST 55 ST. N.Y.
