Description
This is a circa 1900 barrel bank decorated in rich red and gold from the Portsmouth Trust & Guarantee Company, a bank started by local brewer, politician and all-around icon Frank Jones. The bank (shaped, of course, like a barrel) has a coin slot in its side and a keyhole at the bottom (key since lost). The bottom of the barrel advises to SAVE YOUR COINS AND HAVE BARRELS OF MONEY.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 2" in diameter (at widest point).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass with painted areas.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The bank has some very small spots of light oxidation and an overall light to medium wear and tarnish.
