ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1980 pilot wing for Frontier Airlines. The wing was worn by pilots with less than five years of service with the airline. The Denver-based Frontier was founded in 1950 as a result of the merger of three companies (Arizona Airways, Challenger Airlines and Monarch Airlines). The company's "F" logo made from three horizontal bars is at the center of the badge.

VINTAGE: Circa 1980.

SIZE: Approximately 7/8" in height and 3-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Two screw posts with disc backings.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The wing has little wear.
